Xhorse Dolphin XP-005L User Manual: Cutting calibration

This article is to guide you on how to perform Cutting calibration on Xhorse Dolphin XP-005L key cutting machine.

 

Before performing Cutting calibration, you need to follow these steps:

 

Part 1. Use smart phone APP to connect the machine

1. Download Xhorse APP in the App Store to obtain it, or directly scan the QR code as shown below.

2. Power the machine and turn it on, open Xhorse APP, switch to the CNC machine interface, click on "Switch Device" and select Dolphin II.

3. Click on "Select" and turn on Bluetooth, click the SN of the device to connect to the machine.

Part 2. Dolphin XP-005L Cutting calibration

1) Click on "System" on the operation main interface

2）Click on "Machine Parameter".

3）Click on "Cutting calibration"

4）Please select the diameter of the milling cutter that you installed.

5）Operate by following the tips and clicking on "Start".

Do not use the key that has been cut, you must use a brand new HON66 key blank.

6）Clean the cutter, probe, and working area with a brush.

 Click on "Continue" for finish cutting calibration.

This article will guide you on how to use Xhorse Dolphin XP-005/XP-005L to cut plastic keys. Let's take HU66 as an example. Part 1. Use Dolphin XP-005 to cut Choose "Vehicle Database" >> "Skoda">> "Fabia" >>"HU66" Follow the prompts. Key fixed: Clean metal filings and use your finger to press the blank key on the clamp and make sure it is flat. Enter the bitting code: 12311324, then choose "Plastic key/Aluminum key cutting" to continue. Then cut the key according to the prompt and it's done! Part 2. How to Micro-adjust biting distance and cutting depth for Dolphin XP005

This post explains how to Micro-adjust biting distance and cutting depth for the Xhorse Dolphin XP005 key cutting machine via Xhorse App. Sometimes the key biting doesn’t reach our demand, so in Dolphin XP005 we get such an option to adjust it. Before performing Cutting Key in Xhorse App, we should prepare the following steps: 1. Click “Parameter Micro-adjust”, select the specific biting position;  2. After adjusting, click “Cut by single-biting”; 3. Select a correct code >> Select this biting >> Continue; 4. Start cutting processing, and wait… 5. The blade will only cut the code we just selected, now 100% completed!
